Speech Contest

This Contest is designed to develop students’ communication and delivery skills through participation in public speaking activities, and increase their awareness and understanding of persons’ values and priorities in life. 
 

Dear colleagues!
We would like to inform you
of NOVELTA English Language Speech Contest!

1st and 2nd year students are invited to participate and speak on the topic:
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly” 
(Robert F. Kennedy)

This Contest is designed to develop students’ communication and delivery skills through participation in public speaking activities, and increase their awareness and understanding of persons’ values and priorities in life. They research, write, and then deliver a speech based upon the suggested topic. 

Basic information.
Topic of Speech: “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly” (Robert F. Kennedy)

Eligible Participants: 1st and 2nd year students of every local participating university; 1st and 2nd place winners of local contest will advance to final competition. 
Local Contest Dates: local contests should be held up to December 10, 2015. 
Deadlines: the results of every local contest should be sent to the Organizing Committee not later, than December 11, 2015.
Final Contest Date and Place: December 17, 2015 (from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m.) at Novosibirsk State Technical University (Conference Hall, 5th building).
Contest Structure: 1st stage: delivering prepared speeches (time limit – 6 min.) 2nd stage: delivering extemporaneous speech (time limit – 3 min.)
